Don't Let Static Stop You!

Students had a shocking discovery today! We've learned about static electricity, but in order to review we participated in a few more experiments. We all blew up our own balloons and explored different objects and their relationship with the balloon. Using our hair we made our balloon have a negative charge. When it was placed near water, soda cans, paper dots made with the hole puncher, and sugar we recorded what happened in our journals!

Here are a few snapshots and a video to show what happened!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Tuesday!

Career Fun Day

We had so much fun on Career Day! We welcomed some fantastic visitors into our school and learned a lot about what they do!

Our class had two visitors: Mr. Doss
{an accountant at BatesCarter Accounting in Gainesville, GA}

& Mrs. VanNus {owner of Just Sew! Studio}!
We learned about keeping up with money and exponential growth. Some classes even learned to sew a button on and create a bookmark. There were a wide variety of career choices in other classrooms, and the students were exposed to some great options to look forward to in the future!

Circuits! How do we get electricity?

We learned the difference between series and parallel circuits along with understanding what a circuit consists of! Now, who wants to hire these fabulous electricians?
